Adult Day Services

Adult care is often a needed service that allows care-givers to continue to work or take a break without worrying about their loved ones. (Medicaid Waiver, CHOICE, and Self-pay)

Care Connection - Certified by the State of Indiana, Care Connection is our Adult Day Services program.  The center is located on Main Street in Washington.  This program is designed to meet the specialized needs of each adult with emphasis on socialization, mental stimulation, and physical challenges.  Our trained and professional staff monitor medications and vital signs. A variety of services are provided and include; Recreation Therapy/Activities, Meals, Social Services, Transportation, Personal Care and Nursing Services.

Occasional Care - Occasionally respite care for a loved one is needed. Whether it is for 1 hour, several hours, or all day, respite care is available from 8 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday at the Washington Center in a nurturing, home-like setting.     (Self-pay)

Caring for Yourself - Taking care of yourself is one of the most important things you can do as a caregiver.  This could mean asking family members and friends to help out, doing things you enjoy, or using adult day care services.  Taking these actions can bring you some relief.  It also may help keep you from getting ill or depressed.

How to Take Care of Yourself - Here are some ways you can take care of yourself:

  • Ask for help when you need it.
  • Join a caregiver’s support group.
  • Take breaks each day.
  • Spend time with friends.
  • Keep up with your hobbies and interests.
  • Eat healthy foods.
  • Get exercise as often as you can.
  • See your doctor on a regular basis.
  • Keep your health, legal and financial information up-to-date.
